Spring Dance Fund-Raising

The spring dance fund-raising was a success! It was a very well attended event. We would like to extend special thanks to the dancers: Fatima Sosmena, Kit Rafael, Estela Felix, Elvie Parchamento, Beth Lee, Lettie Romero, Maybelle Jenkins, Jonan and Jared Sayo, and our hosts Art & Belen Sotelo. Not only were they great dancers but they also sold a lot of tickets. The food provided by Pat & Oscar’s was great too.

Thanks to our young Hawaiian dancer, granddaughter of Cristina Eggleston, and our regular favorite guest singer, Christine Linares. Likewise thanks to Claim Jumper (through Fe Smith) and Manila Groove’s Rod & Beth Inacay, for the Gift Certificates and all those who voluntarily brought gifts for the raffle. Lastly, to Let-let, Jun and Jared Sayo who gave continuous line dance instructions and other dance routines that made everyone able to participate and made every dance an enjoyable learning experience.

FFRG Lenten Retreat
The Lenten retreat sponsored by the FFRG was also well attended, a strong indication that we long for spiritual nourishment especially during this time of year.

Lenten Church Services
We should also be thankful to our Filipino Choir, who sang some Filipino mass songs during the Lenten services representing the Filipino community by their active participation in our multi-cultural services. Thanks to Belinda Lagman who represented the Filipino community, by reading from the Book of Ezekiel, in Tagalog, during the Easter Vigil Mass.
