Past Activities:
Mama Mary’s Birthday celebration was a great success. We thank all those who took time to pray and enjoy the evening in honor of the Blessed Mother. Our Bus Trip fund raising was also a success; a million thanks to those who joined for donating their time and company.
Forthcoming Activities:
October 10 (Saturday)
Federation of Filipino Rosary Group Event will be at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 17270 Ward St., Fountain Valley, CA. Rosary rally and procession will start at 8:30 A.M., mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. by Rev. Fr. Cirilo Flores, J.D.
Celebration of the canonization of Father Damien of Molokai: Fr. Damien dedicated his life to taking care of the people with leprosy in Molokai. He himself contracted the disease. There will be a potluck to celebrate this occasion at St. Cecilia from 6:00 to 9:00 PM this Saturday, 10 at the hall. Our Filipino Choir and Dance Troupe will sing and dance. Everybody is invited.
MINISTRY FAIR:
October 17 & 18 (Saturday & Sunday)
We are looking for volunteers to man the SCFC table. Lucy and Chakie are coordinators for the table set up and scheduling of volunteers. We are again appealing for your participation. Please call Chackie De Guzman at the St. Cecilia Parish office on Thursdays and Fridays.
November Fund Raising Event:
Sports fans: November 11, 2009, does it ring a bell? Details to be announced.
Simbang Gabi 2009:
Preparations are underway this early. Watch for updates.
