Manuel Rodriguez decided to step down as President of the Filipino Community of St. Cecilia due to his relocation to another city and work schedules that conflict with our regular board and membership meetings. Our sincerest gratitude for the service he has rendered to the community during his one and half term of office. Zeny Deocampo, former Vice President, will take over as President.

Mama Mary Crowning
Thank you to Beth Inacay for the preparation and decoration of the FCSC Mama Mary station during the May 18th Mama Mary crowning.

Fr. Al Baca meets with FCSC Board
Some highlights of the meeting with Fr. Al last Sunday May 30, 2010:
• Proposed election of a Vice-President
• St. Cecilia’s cost cutting on administrative expenses
• Discussions and suggestions for fund raising events
• Appeal to FCSC members to be more generous in sharing their financial resources towards the 2010 Pastoral Services Appeal (PSA) and the Sunday weekly collections both of which have separate goals. The PSA funds are used for the ongoing projects and upkeep of the Church, while the weekly Sunday collections are used for the monthly administrative, payroll and other miscellaneous services.

Our Mother of Perpetual Help Feast Day
We will celebrate the feast day of our Mother of Perpetual Help on July 7, 2010, the first Wednesday of the month with Fr. Al Baca celebrating the mass and the recitation of the Novena. A reception will follow after the mass at the Hall. Let us celebrate this occasion with thanksgiving for all the answered prayers and petitions we have received through the powerful intercession of our Mother of Perpetual Help. Let us all have fun and fellowship by getting involved in the preparation. Expect a call from Tony and Bel Lagman who will ask for your help in making this feast a success!
